Steve and Robby Bancroft are the father-son duo, Terra Nova High School graduates and longtime food industry veterans who make Breakers Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch a go-to destination for anyone looking for breakfast or lunch by the beach. Given that background, it’s not surprising they run a kid-friendly spot where everyone is treated like family. That’s probably why the online reviews are glowing with tales of big portions, friendly service and delicious offerings running the gamut from coastal creations like crab cake benedict to the classic bacon and eggs. And, if you are hungry for lunch, Breakers has just what you want.
For example, you can order up a juicy hamburger, made with 100 percent Angus beef and no additives or preservatives. “As a native Pacifican, I am proud to see Rockaway Beach becoming a year round destination spot for locals and travelers,” Robby Bancroft said. “I encourage everyone to come visit and see why life is better at Breakers!” The restaurant, approaching its third anniversary, is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., seven days a week.
